I received my Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) in 1997.
I have attended conferences in several subject matters: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Central Auditory Processing Disorders, Fluency Disorders, Articulation Disorders, Augmentative and Assistive Communication (AAC), Language Disorders, Visual Phonics, Lively Letters and more.
I started working for the Augusta School District in 2000. I worked at Ewalt Elementary for many years before transferring to Garfield Elementary in 2014.
During my career, I have primarily worked in the school settings (including New Mexico, Texas and Indiana). I also worked in acute and long-term facilities for a short amount of time.
I have three daughters that attend or attended Augusta Schools.
My favorite hobbies/stress relievers are reading and exercising. My biggest accomplishment was completing the Disney Full Marathon in January 2005. Since then, I have completed a half marathon and several 5k events.
