I graduated from South High School in Wichita, Kansas.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Wichita State University.
I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas.
I received my LSCSW (licensed specialist clinical social worker) in 2005.
The 2018-19 school year is my first year working in Augusta. I am the district’s first school social worker. I am at Robinson Elementary on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday. I am at Garfield Elementary on Mondays, Wednesdays, and every other Friday. I am excited to get to work with students and families in the same community that I live in.
I worked as a school social worker for USD 259 for 18 years: 13 years at Truesdell Middle School and 5 years at East High School in Wichita, prior to coming to the Augusta School District in 2018.
I have two grown boys that both attended Augusta schools starting in kindergarten through graduation at Augusta High School. Alex graduated in 2006, and Tad graduated in 2008. They both live in Augusta.
I have 3 dogs and 2 cats which sounds like a lot, but I do live in the country on 20 acres.
I love spending time with my boys and my granddaughter. I also like to attend country and rock concerts, golfing, working out and traveling.
